Enamelware Tiered Stand

Enamelware Tiered Stand from Denise on a Whim
I just adore enamelware!
So when I realized I had two matching pieces, I knew I needed to get busy making a tiered stand!

I picked up these 2 enamelware pieces at different times.
One was stuck in a cupboard and I didn't realize I had it!

When I was cleaning out my work space
(yes, that occasionally does happen!)
I found the pie plate.

And then realized I had a matching bowl! How fantastic!

So I got out a candlestick holder that I had purchased at a thrift store.
It came apart easily and, with dowels in each piece, was perfectly made for the tiered stand!

After painting the holder with Destin Gulf Green,
I simply measured and marked the center of the pie plate and bowl
and drilled a hole big enough for the dowels to fit through.

Here is the top of the stand...

And the base...

I added some epoxy where the enamelware would touch the wooden candlestick holder.

After the epoxy dried overnight, I had a great little tiered stand!
